Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 3/4 cup honey (or sweetener of choice)
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cup brewed coffee (can substitute water)
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 3/4 cup applesauce
- Sift together flour, sugar, salt, soda, and cocoa.
- Make three wells. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, and vanilla into third well.
- Pour cold water over all, and stir well with fork.
- Pour mixed batter into a 9 x 13 inch greased cake pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
I used some berries and fat free yogurt for a topping. It was yummy!
