My Doctor's appointment

I went to the doctor today and my blood pressure is still way too high. It is high enough that she is worried about me. I am under strict instructions to head straight to the emergency room should I have any additional symptoms. I have another appointment for next week and I am supposed to get some blood work done as well. I am just so frustrated with my body. I didn't expect this. I just want to be home enjoying my baby. I don't want to have blood pressure so high that it makes me dizzy. This sucks.

My favorite Mag-pie Moments

Princess Mag-pie was so sweet. Some of my favorite moments are those right after she eats. When she is finished eating, she just stares up at my face intently, like she is trying to memorize every detail. I love to look back at her like that and watch her as she stares until she drifts off to sleep. It is such a nice quiet, loving time that my heart overflows.

She is so funny when she wakes up. She wakes up with her mouth open and her head searching, like a little bird looking for food. She does this every time. Everything that comes near her she turns her head as fast as she can to see if it is food. Just like a little bird, my little Mag-pie.

Saturday's Stuff

Well, we went out and got groceries today. Not very exciting, I know but we needed them and I wanted to see what effect that would have on my blood pressure if I made sure to take my medication before I left. It was a small grocery day and so we weren't out very long but when I checked my blood pressure it was up a lot again. I have another doctor's appointment on Monday so that she can check my blood pressure again. What a pain in the butt this whole blood pressure thing is. Princess Mag-pie slept the entire trip. She was very sweet. Princess Belle on the other hand was picky and cranky and a pain the butt. We have decided that for our next grocery trip, we are going shopping when Princess Belle is at Daycamp.

1st Doctor's appointment

Well little Princess Mag-pie had her first doctor's appointment today. She did fabulously. She has grown 2 centimeters in the last week and she has surpassed her birth weight by 2 ounces. She checked out great.

I checked out okay too. Well almost. My blood pressure is up . . . a lot. So much so that my doctor has said that if I experience any other symptoms I am to go to the emergency room. That sort of sucks but there it is I guess. I didn't expect my blood pressure to continue to be a problem after th baby was born. Let's hope this goes away soon.

Finally Home!!

I am finally home and exhausted. I just thought I would take a minute and update and post a few pics. I ended up staying in the hospital for a total of 21 days. I developed high blood pressure that would not come under control. The baby was also in a breach position sideways with her butt down. So on July 22, 2008 at 9:54 we had a c-section and my little angel came in to the world. It was actually a long time to do the section. Apparently, she was jammed in there good and in the end they had 4 people and a scoop thing in there all trying to get her out. But we managed to bring her out into the world with only a little black eye to show for her struggles. My diabetes has disappeared since having her and my blood pressure is getting better. She not only is she the answer to my prayers, but she is the cure to my ills as well.

She is an absolute dream. She is quiet and pleasant and so easy. She slept about 5 hours in a row last night, her first night home!!
