Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
  1. I DID NOT sit on the couch after Princess Belle left for school, think about the long couple of nights I have had with Princess Maggie the last couple of days and lay down and fall asleep instead of getting the breakfast dishes done. Not me!!

  2. I DID NOT see that the puppy had pulled some of the clean folded towels into his bed, go to pick them up and think, "Screw it, he can have them until I do laundry." Not me!!

  3. I DID NOT feel so sleepy today that I am still sitting here in my nightdress. Nope, Not me!!

  4. I DID NOT get up this morning and have a soy chai latte and leftover chili for breakfast. I wouldn't do that instead of making a proper breakfast. Nope, Not me!!

  5. I DID NOT get up in the morning on the weekend with the puppy, while everyone else in the house was asleep, walk out of my room to get him from his whining, and trudge the whole way in my sleep-deprived state grumbling about how much I wish he was a cat. Nope, Not me!!

  6. I DID NOT discuss with Prince Charming about all my digestive issues and how they have improved since going gluten and dairy free. We are proper and don't discuss such things. Nope, Not me!!

  7. I DID NOT start talking to my cousin's wife on facebook and decide that I like her better than most of my blood relatives. Nope, Not me!!

Now That's Entertainment!

It is funny how one little person can enthrall two grown people and wrap their hearts around her little fingers.

Last night, Princess Magpie was practicing her rolling over. She was laying on the floor and she kept rolling over onto her little belly. Then she would wiggle and squirm and try desperately to roll back over onto her back. Every time she got upset, Prince Charming or I would get down, show her where to put her arms and legs and help her roll over. After we showed her, she would flip right back over and we could see her trying to put her arms and legs where we showed her. It was so cute. We watched her work so hard, working her little arms and legs. (Btw, the way she was working her legs, was amazingly close to crawling!)

And after a long while of us watching her and helping her, I sat back and thought about how entertained we were by her. Here we had a show on television paused for over 1/2 hour so that we watch our baby try to roll onto her back. LOL

She seems to be growing and changing so fast lately. She is doing so many things so much better than she used to: sitting up to eat, grasping her toys, trying to find and grabbing her toys, rolling over, etc. She is giggly and happy and drooly and squishy and snuggly and she is about the sweetest, baby I have ever seen.

Saturday 9

Saturday 9: Time Has Come Today

1. What time of day do you usually play Saturday 9? Usually I play after breakfast on Saturday Morning. This week I am playing just after midnight.

2. At 9AM on a weekday, what are you doing? Feeding the baby, while Princess Belle eats her oatmeal and when she is done watches cartoons with the puppy.

3. At 9PM on any given night, what would you most like to be doing? Sitting with Prince Charming on the couch watching our favorite shows or a movie together.

4. What is your most frequent activity online? Blogging or researching the food I will cook, the recipe I will save, etc.

5. Is there one day of the week that seems to fly by? If yes, why? Hmmm . . . Not really, the whole weeks seems to fly by until the weekend comes.

6. Do you agree that the older you get, the faster time seems to go by? Yes, that seems to be absolutely how it feels. I try desperately to hold it back so that I can have more time with the kids at the ages they are, but no matter what I do, times slips through my tightly clenched fingers.

7. What is your favorite thing to do with free time? spend a nice quiet evening at home with my family.

8. How much time do you spend alone? Would you like it to be more? Less? Some. It is enough for me. I have time to get housework done and to get some time on the computer.

9. If you could spend one hour doing something what would it be? This is tough. I feel so great lately that I can't think of much to improve. I guess if I could get an extra hour, it would depend on my mood. I would either spend it luxuriously soaking in a nice hot bath reading a book and relaxing or I would spend it cleaning and organizing the basement.
