Actual Sleep

For a few days in a row I have actually gotten enough sleep!  It is incredible!  I am like a baseball player in a winning streak.  I am ritualistically repeating all the same bedtime steps every night so as not to mess this up!  Yay sleep!!!

Good!

We had a lovely day today.  I got a few things to support my new diet.  It was wonderful to find them in our small area. I got a package that I have been waiting for.  Everything in it was TINY!!  I ended up giving the clothes to my kids!  I will probably not be ordering any more clothes online.

Storm

We are having a thunderstorm at the moment.  I have to admit, I am scared of storms.  They remind me of the hurricane that I went through.  I kind of turn into a child who wants to hide under my bed until it is over.  My heart is racing and I am having troubles breathing.

Beautiful

Guys, it was beautiful today.  It was warm, but too hot and I got some things done, but had time to relax too.  I slept until 9 am! (Now, I didn't fall asleep until 3:30but that's another conversation.)  I am on day two of my diet change and I am feeling good!!

Melting

It is hotter than heck out here today!  My whole family is barely able to function.  I gave the kids a spray bottle to spray each other with so that they could feel cooler.  Us Newfies weren't made for this kind of heat!

Getting it done

I am finally doing laundry!!  I did four loads yesterday and I am doing four more today.  I would do more, but I have to go through Princess Belle's room to do it and this way I am not bugging her all day.  I am surprised at how much difference even this much makes.

I also arranged for someone to come mow our lawn today.  Our neighbor a has been saying she will do it, but it had been weeks and our grass was super long.  So, when she asked about it, I just said that I thought it would be to much work as it is so long.

Making Him Happy

In the last week, we have gotten a couple of new toys for Little Prince.  I wanted to brighten up his world a little.  He is SO happy.  He has been clapping, flapping, and making happy sounds ever since.  I am a happy mommy.

Outing

We had a fun day today.  We went to visit Grandma Great and Grandpa Grumpy.  It was a long drive, but the kids were happy, the food was yummy and the company was good.  (Princess Belle wasn't up to the trip and decided to take this opportunity to enjoy having the house to herself).

Nothing

It is a cold, dreary day today.  I am a little quiet due to feeling a lot of anxiety today. 

Making It Better

We were having a rough day today, so I decided that it was a good day to take the kids out for McDonald's supper.  They were thrilled and it turned our day around.

And This Too!

We another appointment for Princess Snifflefritz today.  This time it was with the Optometrist.  She is getting glasses (very mild prescription). She is going to be the cutest little glasses wearer ever.  She is actually excited to be getting them.  She picked out two pairs; a girly pair and a boyish pair (her description).  She figures she will be able to wear whichever one suits her mood.

Out!

I took Princess Magpie out for a quick shopping trip today.   She had fun and was glad to finally get out of the house.

Audiologist

We had to take Princess Snifflefritz out to an Audiologist appointment today.  It turns out she has hearing loss in one ear due to a perforated eardrum.  It is only a small perforation but it does mean more appointments to get checked out.

Sleepy

I had a pretty quiet day.  I only had three hours sleep last night and it was hard to get motivated.   I just enjoyed my kids and the warm weather.

Cuteness

I love to catch my boy being himself.  Little things he does brings me so much joy.  He is just fun, sweet, and  totally enjoyable.

Finally!!!

It is a wonderful day!  I am still waiting for my washer and dryer, a package I am waiting for has been delayed (again), but I finally feel better after having had my hair cut.  It is short, but I love it!

Quiet

I didn't get much sleep last night, so I had a quiet day.  I just couldn't muster up the energy to get anything accomplished.  So, I took it easy and enjoyed my kiddies.

Yay!

Today was another day without any news cases Covid-19 in Newfoundland.  This means that Newfoundland has changed to level 3 alert level.  Prince Charming and I went for an inaugural walk through the mall.  It was lovely to see people and check to see which stores are open now.

Today was a good day.  I ate well, the kids played outside, and I made a yummy supper for my family.

Beautiful

It is another beautiful day in Newfoundland.  I have to say one if my favorite things about summers here is that there is almost always a bit of a breeze with the sun.  It is very rarely overwhelmingly hot.  And, given that mountains and water feed my soul, there are always nice places for me to enjoy.

Motivated

It was a beautiful, warm,sunny day with a slight breeze.  It was the kind of day that makes you feel motivated to do something.  I moved some more boxes to my storage unit and enjoyed watching my kids eat fruit and enjoy our sunny deck.

I may have also enjoyed eavesdropping on Princess Magpie and Little Prince. It was so sweet:

Sunny

It was quiet but beautiful, sunny day today.  I didn't get a lot accomplished, but anxiety risking it tough to sleep.  I did my best to get some fresh air, enjoy the sun and quiet and keep a positive attitude.  My kids spent time on the deck in the sun.  Little Prince was very upset to learn that no matter how hard he insisted, we weren't going to put his bed out on the deck for him.  We comprised by letting him bring out some stuffies.

Sunny

It was a sunny, but windy day today.  The sun motivated me to get a few things done.  Thd kids enjoyed some time on the deck, which is always fun.

Trying

I am having a quiet day today.  I am feeling anxiety and I just feel like taking it easy and maybe sleeping a lot.  I did clean all the floors with my new Bissell Crosswave and I still LOVE it.  I started a pot of lobster stock.  I have never made lobster stock before but it sure makes the house smell good.

Love

I love how much my kids enjoy their brother.  They take videos of their brother singing, they tell me about things he does when I am not in the room.  Today, he showed concern for his sister when she was crying, it was a big step in his development!  And, it was sweet.
