My house

I sitting with my coffee and love listening to my kids.  Princess Belle chatting in her room, the little girls giggling together and Little Prince playing in his room.  My house is NEVER as clean as I would like, but my house is a happy home.

Great

This was a great day. I went to a business expo with Prince Charming and I got a free haircut.

I went by the library and was given a gigantic pile of my favorite magazines.

And after Little Prince went to bed, the girls and I watched old videos of the kids. It was so fun to see them enjoy it.

Funny Thing

It is funny how much joy I can get from my kids.  I just spent a few hours watching Disney songs with my kids.  They danced, sang, and totally enjoyed themselves.  Even Princess Belle joined in the fun.  It was honestly the best part of my day.

Cute Things He Says

Little Prince has been so cute lately.  Yesterday, I went in to change his diaper while wearing a sleeper that is VERY soft and shaped like a unicorn.  The moment I walked I to his room, he ran up to me and started caressing my sleeper, and holding my tail.  Then he saw the hood and tried to put it up on my head.  I put it up and he excitedly shouted "Unicorn, mommy!"  He was so sweet.

Later, he was up on the landing upstairs.  He saw two deer in our yard.  He started pointing and saying, "Moose!" over and over again.  He is the cutest little guy ever.  I love my boy so much.

Request

I have a request! Can winter finally come so that all the coyotes stop howling and the bears go hibernate and stay the heck off my back step!!!  I take back anything bad I ever said about city living!  I am so done with scary country things.  I don't want to be afraid of my yard

So Proud

Little Prince is doing so well lately!!! I am so proud of the things he is learning.  He is learning to recognize words and put letters together to form them.  He is also learning to communicate.  He puts words together to clarify what he is requesting.  Just today, I was changing him and he said,"Red, black, puppy, jacket" to indicate that he wanted the other sleeper instead of the one I was putting on him.  He says, "Hi Mommy!" with enthusiasm every time he sees me.  I LOVE my boy!

Today

I had a bit of a bad day today.  I did my best to look on the bright side and my sweet baby boy was completely adorable and that helped.  Even on my bad days, I am a lucky lady.

Great Day

We took the little girls to their favorite place in Greenwood.  It was a fun day and we tired them out.  I love days like this.

Yuck

I am so very done with country living.  I am tired of skunks, bugs, rodents, and bears. I don't want to be scared to go outside my house at night.  I don't garden because I am scared of my yard.  I want neighbors, I want shopping, I want convenience, I want to feel safe!!  I want our bear friend to go hibernate and stop visiting our yard!!!

Good

Princess Belle had a good appointment today.  The doctor was lovely and seems positive that he will be able to help her out with regaining a formal diagnosis.  We hope that we can fast-track the process since we have a copy of her original diagnosis on hand.  It could take up to two years if we have to start the process all over again!!!

Appointment

Princess Belle has an appointment tomorrow.   It is the start of the process of getting the papers to have her rediagnosed with autism.  Her original diagnosis has been run out for years.  It is silly, she will never stop being autistic but there it is.  I want to get it on the record to enable her to get access to help if she should need extra supports as an adult (only TWO years!).  I hope that I can adequately explain her situation.  I want to do right by her.

I'm Loving It

Today was a fun family day.  The kids were especially excited to have treats and watch movies.  I LOVE family time!

One of Those Days

I am having one of those days where my head is aching so badly that I can't function.  I am spending the day nursing coffee and handfuls of painkillers.  Not a productive day at all.

Good Morning

As I lay in bed this morning waiting to get enough energy to get up and get some coffee, I had to smile as my autistic baby boy was singing the ABC's song at the top of his lungs.  He woke up in a fabulous mood! I love it.

When I finally got up to face the day, I nursed my giant cup of coffee and listened to Princess Belle chatting to herself and my little girls singing together as loud as they could.  Everyone woke up bursting with happiness.  I am do very blessed.

Fun

The little girls helped me clean the van and so I took them our for a treat.  It was such a fun day.  They had a great time helping!

Moments like This

I love the early morning moments in my house.  I sit with my hands wrapped around my warm cup of coffee, sipping, listening.  The birds are singing, the crickets are chirping, Little Prince is making his happy sounds, and the little girls are giggling together in their room.  Moments like this are bits of peaceful perfection that make me happy.  What a great way to start the day.

Finishing

We did a little more to get the classroom ready for Little Prince.  I have one more step and I will be done.  I have to figure out we can make it especially special in the beginning so that we can celebrate our last baby's first day of school.  He is so sweet and loving I am actually looking forward to it.

Old

I am officially old.  I spent the day shopping for groceries and I am exhausted.  On the other hand, I am do glad you have lots of snacks and treats on hand for the kids.  I am broke now, but there is gas in the van, a roof over my head, and food in my pantry.  A good day.

Still Good

I had a good day, Prince Charming came home for a few days and it is nice to have another adult in the house.  I had a headache all day, but it was still nice to have us all home.

Rearranging

I spent a lot of time today rearranging my homeschool room.  With Little Prince starting this year, I have to make it more Autism friendly and less overwhelming to him.  I am simplifying things and planning for a great year with him.  Here's to the two of us learning how to approach homeschooling with my special boy.

Good Mom Day

It was a great kid day today.  It is the kind of day that I just feel feel good about my family.

First, Little Prince woke up in a fabulous, giggly mood. He kept asking me to touch his chheks and then he would giggle at me.  After that it was tickles and kisses.  He was just o sweet.

Second, Princess Belle talked with me about how glad she is that we can and do talk about everything.  She said how happy she is that was enjoy spending time together.  It was really nice.

Lastly, during supper, Princess Snifflefritz told me that I am not like other moms, I am too awesome.

So cute!

I love how happy my boy is lately.  I woke up this morning to the sound of him giggling in his room while he played with the kitties by sticking his fingers under the door.  It was really the absolute cutest thing EVER! So sweet. I love this boy!

Yum!

Prince Charming and I went out for breakfast today.  It was so nice.  We drove to Bridgetown and asked someone where they would reccomend and we took found this really cute place!  The portions were huge, the food delicious, the servers were so friendly.
