Throwback Thursday

Tots and Me
#TBT

For my Throwback Thursday Post today, I decided to go back to the end of April 2012

Little Prince was only 1 month old and too sweet and tiny for words.

Princess Belle and I went to a figure skating show with our friend and had a fabulous time!

Princess Magpie was a fun four year old and was thoroughly enjoying her new bunk beds!

Princess Snifflefritz was 3 years old (same age Little Prince is now!) and was as cute as ever.  LOVE those eyes!

I also went back and looked at this post from this week in 2012, entitled,  "Ummm , you do know that’s not where socks go . . . right?"

Zzzzzzz

After getting up at 11 pm last night and being awake all night long, this little man is finally sleeping!  He didn't go to sleep until around 2pm this afternoon!  So while he sleeps soundly, I am definitely functioning in a brain-fog!  I have no idea how I am going to get anything accomplished today!

Compromise?

So I think we have a compromise.  Prince Charming hates the neighborhood we live in, he has since we got here.  The girls hate that we have no backyard, Prince Charming misses our basement and I have to admit,  I do miss having our own laundry room.

But, I like living in the city.  I like the proximity to help for Little Prince.  I like all my favorite little shops.  I like having a friend nearby to shop with, have nights out with and chat about our kids and life with.  I like having an easy bus system to get around with.

So I suggested to Prince Charming that we check out our old neighborhood here in the city.  We liked the neighborhood we lived in when we met and when Princess Belle was a baby.  We never had any troubles there and it is still familiar to us.  And he agreed!  This would be an easier move since it would be an in-town move.  We even had a place we are looking at.  Cross your fingers for us.

Gratitude Sunday

Gratitude Sunday
Sunday's heart felt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful.

Here are some things I am grateful for this week:

1.  Fun outings with my girls

2.  Treating my girls to an ice cream sundae!

3. Fun Earth Day activities.

4. Silly little girls taking their first selfies.

5.  Snuggly popcorn treats

5.  Sisterly Snuggles

6.  Cuddles from this sleepy boy even if he keeps me up at night, I LOVE the feeling of his sleepy body cuddling into me.

7.  Finally getting Princess Belle a phone again after her sisters broke hers.

Saturday Photohunt: 'FiX'.

The Saturday PhotoHunt for this week is: 'FiX'.  I used to two definitions of fix for this one.  FIX as in to fix someone up with some food or drink and FIX as in to repair something.

In this one, Princess Snifflefritz is doing her best to fix us up a pot of lunch.  (with mommy's help, of course)

In this one, the neighbour boy is helping to fix the toy that Princess Magpie found.

In this one, Princess Belle has fixed them up a cup of tea for a cute little tea party.

And in the last one, Princess Magpie has been doing pretend yoga lessons and she is fixing her sister's pose.

Our Earth Day Fun

We had fun for our Earth Day today.

First, we made bird feeders out of recycled milk cartons

Next, we turned paper plates into colorful earths with tissue paper and paint.

Then we made cupcakes.

While they cooked, the girls licked the bowl

After they were cooked and cooled we decorated them with icing and colored sugar in blue and green to look a little like the earth

The girls were so proud of their creations

Here are their earth plates

And smiling over their bird feeders.

For supper, I made them spaghetti and earthballs (meatballs)

And I decorated the table in a manner suitable for Earth Day

The girls got a kick out the stones and played games with them all afternoon.

The shells were a huge hit as well and the girls pretended to be at the beach all afternoon.

There were two kinds of stones on the table.  One kind was natural and one kind was glow in the dark.  The girls invented a game of hide-and-glow-seek with the stones in the pantry.  It was so cute.  They chattered all the way up to bed, making me promise that they can play beach with the stones and shells again tomorrow.

All in all it was a good day and it ended with the girls offering ideas for future Earth Day celebrations.
