Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (Low Fat, Vegan, clean eating, High Fibre)


  • 1 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Honey, (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cup whole wheat flour (or other flour)
  • 2 Tbsp flax seed meal
  • 2 cup oats
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips (I don't measure, so however much you prefer, you could use raisins if you prefer)
  1. Preheat oven to 375˚F.
  2. Mix applesauce, Honey, vanilla, oil, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, mix flour, flax seeds, baking soda, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually add dry mix to the wet mix.
  5. Stir in oats gradually.
  6. Mix in chocolate chips.
  7. Spread mix into a large (greased) pan.
  8. Bake in oven for 25 minutes. Enjoy.
