I Love This Place!!

We were in town today and we visited my favorite local store, "Annapolis Natural Foods".

I love that the owner knows us by name.  She remembers the things that I prefer and chats with us every time.  She is lovely!!

And the fact that the store has so many wonderful things at prices that are totally affordable, even veggies directly from the Farmers!!

Across the street from the store in front of the bank is the cutest Christmas decoration!

Fine Form

After a VERY  long day, I am finished shopping for Christmas.  Our budget is tight and Prince Charming and I are basically shopping just for the kids.  But that being said I think we did well for them.   They are going to have a great Christmas and that makes me so very happy.

On another note, Little Prince climbed the safety gate THREE times last night!  The last time he fell down the stairs.  My poor boy has a hard time with balance.   Luckily he is okay.   He also demolished the storage area again!  He was in fine form last night LOL.  Luckily I think have found some solutions to keep safe.

On My Toes

So very tired.  For two days in a row Little Prince got me up between 5 and 6 in the morning. And it is making for LONG days.  He has been in fine form climbing safety gates and opening locked doors!  He completely demolished the storage area!!!  I got it fixed but he is definitely keeping me on my toes.

Good thing he is a cutie-pie.

It's Beginning to Look A LOT Like Christmas

We couldn't resist the temptation today so the girls and I started to decorate Christmas.  The house looks so beautiful!  And we had so much fun singing carols and putting out all our decorations. Our favorite was the centerpiece the girls and I made for the dining room table.

Exploring

I have been having so much fun exploring our new little town.  Every place we go, we are welcomed warmly.  It is truly lovely.  We found the library and it was wonderful.  The librarian knew every person who came in through the doors.  She was so sweet.  And there was this cozy chair with handmade quilts to cuddle up in to read.  I LOVED that chair.  It just says so m7ch about the homey, welcoming, community minded feeling of every place we go.

Creativity

I love letting the kids be creative.  I give them supplies and let have fun.

Today, I walked into the playroom and in among the little areas of play I discovered these little creations:

This little kingdom

This little doll house

Stuff 'n 'such

I love this little shelf in the classroom.  I will eventually add more little goodies to it but for now I have the Frozen statues and our little name train for Little Prince.

I was enchanted by the sight of Princess Magpie doing her homeschool work dressed as a Princess.  Where else can you forward school as a Princess or while eating a lollipop like yesterday.

Little Prince hasn't lost h8s favorite monkey pillow.  So far he is okay with a fuzzy pillow I bought him last year, but I hope we find it soon.

Finally

We are finally in the full swing of things since our move.  I made salsa out of some of our tomatoes, lasagna for supper, homeschooled the girls, and stacked some of the wood for our beautiful woodstove.  It is a full day but I really feel like we are getting organized in our scheduling.  Even Princess Belle thought homeschool went well and as a teenager she isn't as enthusiastic as she used to be.

Princess

So in the middle of the night I got out of bed to help Little Prince and when I step into his room, he pulls on the edge of my nightdress and exclaims, "Princess!".  Then he hugs my legs, tugs on my nightdress again and says, "Princess! I love Princess!"  He completely made my night and do of course, this princess picked up her boy and gave him a a great big squishy hug!  I love my boy!

Annapolis Royal Winter Farmer's Market

We dropped by the Annapolis Royal Winter Farmers Market today and it was lovely.  There were so many different vendors with lots of lovely fresh veggies and artisan breads.  I was struck by how friendly and outgoing everyone was!  We got cards from people we want to deal with in the future and made some wonderful contacts!  One of the farmers was a gentleman who lives just down the road from us.  When he heard that we are going to trying our hand at gardening, he gave us advice, asked us to drop by for a coffee and offered to show us around his farm and greenhouse!  I LOVE it here.

Leslie with Bunchberry Nurseries had some adorable Christmas-themes "teasels".

I was thrilled with all the wonderful fresh vegetables that were there to discover!

The variety of freshly baked artisan breads looked so delicious!

I was even lucky enough to be treated to a wonderful cup of Sissiboo coffee which is locally roasted!
