Saturday Photohunt: Bridge and Ways

The themes for the Saturday Photohunt this week: Bridge and Ways.  This was an easy one for me.  I remembered some pictures I took a few years ago when I was living in Gander before.  There is such lovely scenery around here and I LOVED these pictures.

The first one is of Princess Magpie when she was about 2 years old, toddling up what is probably more of ramp than a bridge but there were two WAYS she could go and she just loved toddling up this BRIDGE/ramp on her own.

The next two are of an  old BRIDGE that isn't used to much anymore because there are now two WAYS to go and the other was is newer and better.  I LOVE the look of old bridges and the sense of history that they bring to mind.  I guess maybe it goes with my love of history in general, the idea that we can build a bridge over things that are in our way, or maybe that old song we sang as kids, "London Bridge is falling down".  I don't know, but to me the image of a bridge is an iconic one that makes me smile.

I love old bridges too. They probably have stories to tell.

Bridges are such interesting structures and can add charm to any area. My kids loved studying and constructing bridges!
