Cinnamon Biscuits made with a surprise ingredient!


Ingredients

Biscuits:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/3 cup yogurt
1/2 cup milk


 Icing:
◦1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
◦1/2 - 1 tablespoons milk
◦1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions
1.Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon and salt.
2.Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.
3.Add milk and yogurt and stir gently only until ingredients are combines.
4.Turn dough onto floured surface and knead for about 2 minutes (You will want this dough to be nice ad smooth)
5.Roll to no less that ½ inch thickness
6.Cut out round shapes about 2-1/2″ in diameter with cookie or biscuit cutter. (or drop by spoonfuls on the cookie sheet)
7.Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 450F for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
8.Combine the icing ingredients and drizzle mixture over warm biscuits
