2/3 cup Peanut Butter
1/2 - 3/4 cup Sugar (brown sugar would be good)
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
2 cups Rolled Oats
4 cups water
2/3 cup peanuts, chopped
2/3 cup Chocolate chips
2/3 cup dried raisins (optional)
Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally. When it has reached desired thickness, it is ready to serve. Gently stir in chocolate chips (or chocolate chunks) directly before serving being careful not to stir so much that the chips melt.
Editors Note: I forgot to take a pic before the children descended and devoured this oatmeal. I managed to scrape together one bowl for a pic but it was rather thick at that point. This was REALLY REALLY popular with the kids! The chips did melt but they were streaked through the oatmeal in little rivers of deliciousness. Very very good!
