On some days, I am making it a point to take a step away from the books and pick out some of our learning resources we have around the house. The girls were thrilled with this idea. The last thing we did was relax and watch shows that teach reading. Princess Magpie would get up close and concentrate and try to read all the word bits.
We read a book about what you want to be when you grow up and the girls were extremely inspired to do some pictures of their future plans.
We learned about the earth's water and the water cycle and about Vikings as well. It was a fun day and the girls were excited about school again. The thing is, I always want them to feel lucky to be able to learn at home.
