- Install a mirror so they can check out their dance moves as they rock out to some tunes.
- Make it easy for your kids to get to their toys—and to put them away. Lower the shelves and cabinets so your little ones don’t have to stretch.
- Paint a section of the wall with chalkboard paint, an acrylic paint that is durable and washable. When painted on a wall, it mimics a normal chalkboard, allowing your children to draw to their hearts’ content. After painting the wall, finish the look with a chair rail that can double as a chalk and eraser holder.
- Position a comfy chair in a corner to create a reading nook and to cuddle up and play.
- Give the little artist her own studio space, complete with a hanging gallery of work.
- Make your organization system the focus of the room by getting a wall-to-wall system. You find these systems at places like Ikea, the container store, or Stacks and stacks
- The container is everything. Use the containers to visually enhance the room. Your options are endless. You can use pretty wicker baskets to fill with toys and other items. You can use bright colored cubes that are all the same color, or different colored. You can also go for the clean look, and make them all white.

- Trellis Display
A painted garden trellis is an imagin-ative way to store and organize a young girl's handbag collection. Fancy drawer pulls can be used to decorate the wooden pegs of the trellis. Sand, prime and paint the trellis in the color (or colors) of your choice, then screw it to the wall at child's height. - Labeling baskets or bins with titles such as "Legos", "Power Rangers", "Barbies", etc. can help your kids learn where certain toys go. If your kids are too young to read, you could also take a picture of the type of toys that go in each bin to go along with the printed label.
- If your kid's room is piled high with dirty laundry, the problem may be the hamper. Choose a hamper that is easy to operate for your child
