It is one of those days when I can hardly put two words together because I am so tired. And because of that things are getting on my nerves.
I mean, I don't even know how much or if any sleep Little Prince had last night. He was awake in his room when I fell asleep and he was awake again when the cat woke me up at 7:30 this morning.
So I am irritated by how I have no place to put stuff and I am irritated by having no real place for our homeschool. I am also irritated that it is open concept so it is hard to keep Little Prince out of the kitchen and off the table to keep him safe.
In short, I am just over-tired and overwhelmed, irritated and no fun to be around.
I'm so sorry to hear you are constantly functioning on very little sleep. Our kiddo who has Autism, SPD, and brain damage struggled with needing very little sleep from the time he was born. We started giving him melatonin 5mg, then 10mg, then 15mg. He started sleeping a little better, but not much and just figured that we had to learn how to deal with it. Trying to function on little sleep is terrible.
ReplyDeleteWhen we met with one of the only neuro-psychologists in the area he told us that some of the behaviors we were having was because he wasn't even getting 1 complete sleep cycle. He suggested our primary care DR call in a prescription of Klonodine to help him sleep. This has been an absolute miracle for us, he gets at least 2 sleep cycles a night now, and we are finally starting to see some improvements in speech and functioning. I would suggest talking to your doctor, maybe there is something they can do to help Little Prince get some sleep. I keep you and your family in my prayers!!
