Applesauce Muffins (clean eating, whole wheat and low fat)


  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup honey (or sugar, or sweetener of choice)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup applesause
  • 4 Tbsp margarine (or butter), melted
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Spoon mixture into muffin tins that have been sprayed with non-stick spray. (makes 12)
  5. Bake 15 - 20 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
