No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars
- 1 cup butter,
- 1/2 cup brown sugar,
- 1 tsp vanilla,
- 3 cups quick cooking oats,
- 1 cup choc chips,
- 1/2 cup peanut butter.
- Grease a 9x9 inch pan.
- Melt butter in a lg saucepan over med heat.
- Stir in brown sugar & vanilla.
- Mix in oats.
- Cook over low heat for 2 or 3 minutes or until well blended.
- Press half of mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Reserve the other half for topping.
- Meanwhile:
- melt the choc chips and PB in a small saucepan over low heat til smooth.
- Stirring frequently.pour the choc mixture over the crust in the pan and spread evenly.
- Crumble the remaining oat mixture over top.
- Press down gently. Cool on counter for a while.
- Then refrigerate for 2 or 3 hours or until firm enough to cut in squares!
