You remember, I told you that Prince Charming's Uncle passed away? (I loved him dearly).
Well, three weeks ago, my grandmother passed away as well. I loved her so much. I even wrote a paper on her when I was in high school.
And today . . . my Uncle died. I used to babysit his kids. I remember him playing ball with my dad when I was a kid. I remember him giving me rides on his snowmobile and getting a kick out of scaring me and making me scream. He was a big, vibrant, happy, full of life man with four kids. He lived to see his kids get married, but he won't live to see his grandkids. He was my dad's younger brother.
I am so just so incredibly sad. Heartbroken. I don't know how much more I can take.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI'm a sophomore at Yale, and one of my classmates, Mandi Schwartz, a 22-year-old hockey player, was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia for the second time. She needs a stem cell transplant in thirty days and hasn't yet found a perfect match. Her doctor has launched a world-wide campaign called "Become Mandi's Hero" to find her a donor by encouraging couples expecting a baby within the next month, particularly those of German, Russian or Ukrainian descent, to donate cord blood. Cord blood donation is harmless for both mother and baby, and can be life-saving for individuals like Mandi.
I was wondering if you'd be able to post some information about Mandi on your blog-it would be a really great way to reach out to expecting couples and would be a wonderful help!! If you would like more information about Mandi, please visit:

Here is the card explaining the core blood donation process:

Thank you so much for your time and your help with this extremely urgent matter!

I am so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI am a First Mate on the TOS Homeschool Crew, and I am visiting some blogs of some of the new members. I am so glad I decided to visit your blog today. I saw this post, and I had to leave a comment. My husband's grandmother passed away just last week, and my children (one in particular) are having a hard time with it. They were very close to Grandma since she lived next door. Since we homeschool, they were able to spend a lot of time with her, so this loss has been especially difficult for them. We can understand just a little bit of what you must be going through with all of the losses you have recently experienced, and we will be praying for you and your family.
Also, I can't remember if I saw Google Friend Connect on your blog or not (I've looked at TONS of new blogs this week!), but if you have it, I will sign up to follow you.
I will be praying for peace and a happy heart to be your today in spite of what you are going through. Blessings to your family!
FM Wendy (from the Crew)
