Christmas comes more than once a year at our house.
Okay so the tradition in our part of the world is that all the presents and decorations stay out until after Old Christmas Day (Jan 6). I have been very good and left them there. But I have noticed a funny phenomenon I had to share with you. LP (Little Princess) is convinced that Christmas happens every night as long as there are presents under the tree. Every morning she comes and digs everything out from under the tree until she comes across some toy she forgot that she got for Christmas. Then it is celebration and running to mommy shouting, "MOMMY LOOK WHAT SANTA BROUGHT!?!" It is so funny and sweet to watch her excitement and to watch her obsess over that toy for the rest of the day, and all for the same presents she opened over a week ago. For her, Christmas really is every day.
I want Christmas every day too! What a cutie :)
ReplyDeleteLOve that!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet! Children can just put a light in your day, can't they?! :)

Awww, how precious!!!
ReplyDeleteawwww! That is too cute! Your daughter is the sweetest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteHey TC! That is just so cute, kids really are something. I don't know if I could handle leaving my decorations up into January. I'm yelling at the people who still have their lights plugged in on my way home from work. HAHA!!!! Christmas everyday would work for me though....as long as we could look at it with the excitement and innocence of children! Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteso sweet.
ReplyDeleteThat is precious.
ReplyDeleteIf only everyday were like Christmas...
we normally leave everthing up until the 6th as well, but this year, we packed it away early. it is so nice to see the little ones enjoy christmas, each and every day, you almost hate to take the tree down.
ReplyDeleteLOL - Love it - Tonight Baby Girl asked Big Guy if he would play christmas with her - the next thing I know they are putting toys in a box and saying -
ReplyDelete"Oh Look - this one is for you Baby Girl" and her reply
Oh, Thank you Santa it's what I always wanted... and It was on my list"... this went on for a good hour....
Glad Christmas is an everyday thing at your house too - was beginning to think my kids were nuts...
Awwww...what a sweet thing to do. Give her a smooch for me!
ReplyDeleteHow funny is that. Did you ever read Little House in the Big Woods? Where her only toy was a corncob wrapped in a hanky that she pretended was a doll? Kids have so much these days--they can't even keep track!
ReplyDeleteMy tree and all the decorations are all still up. We just moved into the house and it seems that Christmas sort of happened without us even noticing. I like the way your daughter thinks! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, to be young, again! Mine is the same way!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding.

ReplyDeleteThe Flamingos miss you, Nik!!
Hey, Friend-of-Nik's... do you know what exactly is needed to fix her 'puter? Is it a hard drive problem? A video card? Monitor? I may be in a position to help (and I know Nik pretty well from a message board that goes back years, but not well enough that I have her phone number).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, will you tell her that the Flamingos miss her? And ask if there is a way we can help?
