Step

Yesterday something new happened at work.  I was put in charge of your shift.  I made all the decisions regarding who did what, who stayed and went, who should have a break and when.  It felt like a big step to me.

Better.

Yesterday, work was kind enough to let me go home early because I was working on only three hours sleep. So today, I am fully rested with TEN hours sleep!!  I am spending some time watching tiny home shows with this little cutie.

If only

Back to work today.  I got enough done to get through today.  The kitchen is scrubbed, supper is made, and some laundry done.  There is still so much for me to do, but it will be fine.  If I could just put everyone up in a closet until I got home from work so that they wouldn't make a mess, that would be great.  LOL

Too Much amd Too Little

There's too much.  Too much to do, to little time and energy to do it.  I am so very, very tired. I really hate this and I hate that my kids hate it too.  Ugh.  I have one day off and I work again tomorrow.  There is no way am can do everything I want to.

Being a homeschooling, working mom to kids with special needs sucks!  That is all I got for now.

Hi Ho

Hi ho, hi ho . . . it's off to work I go.  It was a lovely couple of days off celebrating my little girl's ninth birthday.  But now it is back to the real world.  What I would really like is a million dollars or something few paid days off to clean my house from top to bottom.

Her Special Day

So today was the day we did the fun stuff for Princess Magpie's birthday.   She felt so special.  First we went to breakfast at the Digby Pines Resort.  All of the girls were awestruck and even Little Prince was happy.

Princess Magpie was amazed when the waiters, the chef, surprised her with cake and even more so when even the customers jojned in as they sang her happy birthday!

After a little exploration, we surprised her again!

We took the girls to the spa you get a manicure.  Princess Magpie was thrilled!

They even put up balloons for her!

They felt like big girls as they picked out several colors of nail polish and enjoyed their manicure.

There be Dragons

Years ago I bought Prince Charming a dragon. I knew he loved dragons and I thought it was pretty.  Well after all these years, we actually lit an incense in it.  It looked really wonderful, like a dragon breathing fire.  The little girls were awestruck by it.

NINE!

Princess Magpie turns nine today.  I piled all the kids into the van this morning to pick up daddy from work and went out for breakfast for a little fun.

I gave the kids each $10 to spend at the dollar store and then we went home so that I could get ready for work.

After we got home, we had a little cake and presents. It was just a little fun for today and we will have more fun on Monday.

Neighbor

I woke up this morning with a neighbor at my door offering to do one of my more overwhelming projects for $75/hr.  I made an executive decision to buy peace of mind and said absolutely!  It is expensive but I need to get some things off my list.

I crossed a few other things off my list this morning and I hope to get some more stuff done on my days off.

Not Enough

I am having a day when I feel like there is just not enough time and not enough of me to do every that needs to be done.  UGH!!

Big Scare!

Any mom of an autistic child who has elopement tendencies knows my biggest fear.  My baby boy getting out the front door and something horrible happening.  Today the worst possibility flashed through my mind. I was upstairs cleaning Little Prince's room and one of the little girls left the door unlocked and Little Prince got out!  He ran full speed across the highway in front of our house, was almost hit by a car, popped in through someone's door, darted out again and into the woods.  Luckily as me and all the girls frantically ran barefoot across the highway to find where he had run, someone across the road corralled him, could tell he was autistic and met us with him in their arms.  I was hysterical, as was Princess Magpie.  They told me to calm down, he was okay, and to go home and cuddle my boy.  This scared me guys!

Silly

Little Prince didn't amazing at his dental appointment.  It was scary for him but he did great!  I am so proud of him.

The whole trip has been exhausting for him and he fell directly asleep as soon as we got on the road home.

When he woke he proceeded to continue to try to take off his seat belt and his shirt . . . Silly boy.  Mommy had to fix that much to his dismay.

Adventures in the City

We are having an adventure taking Little Prince into the city.  He has an appointment with the dentist early in the morning.
