She Likes It
I took Princess Belle to the new place today. Prince Charming was worried that she wouldn't like it. It is old, smaller, has less storage and looks like Grandma's house. Honestly, I love that about it. But I wasn't sure what she would think. It turns out, I shouldn't have worried. She LOVED it. All the little details, the old style windows, the tiny bathroom with the clawfoot tub, and the quirky way it is built, etc. She noticed all those details and it spoke to her the same way it spoke to me! She LOVES her bedroom and spent the rest of the day planning it! I am so happy she likes it.
She even found the funny swing in the tree in our backyard and spent a few minutes on it. (I LOVE that we are 3 doors from businesses and our backyard looks like the country!
I have decided to take this move as an opportunity to get rid of excess clutter. She are some places to drop off donations right by the new house so that will make things easier.

Yay!!!
My boy tried a new food!!! The girls had ice cream cones and he looked interested, so I made him up one too. And he licked all the ice cream out of the cone!!! He even said, "Ice Cream!" and later he said, "Ice Cream . . . . mmmm . . . Dewicious!" I LOVE my boy and I am so proud of him!!! New food and new words all in one day! Look at my boy kicking Autism's butt!!

We Get To Stay!!
We found a place here in town! I didn't want to leave town. It costs less than the one we have now, has a great space for our classroom, and is closer to the stores. And the best part is that I can make it safe for Little Prince.
The house is OLD! It has the world's smallest bathroom but it does have a skylight and a claw foot tub.
It doesn't have a basement but it does have a storage shed and room for another one. It has a big backyard for the kids. I think it will take some adjusting but I think it can be really nice. It has a grandma's house feel and I like that.

Gratitude Sunday
Sundays heart felt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful.
Here are some things I am grateful for this week.
1. Watching my autistic boy make connections even if it is with television characters.
2. Princess Magpie tickling her baby brother
3. Little Prince choosing to sit with his sleeping sister
4. Impromptu afternoon naps.
5. Quiet morning coffee's in my homeschool classroom.
6. My boy enjoying books while he eats his breakfast.
7. Picture presents from Princess Snifflefritz
8. Snuggles from my kitty, even if he does make me snuffly.
9. Watching my kids enjoy classic books like, "The Velveteen Rabbit".
10. My silly boy putting things on his head and then getting excited.
11. Quiet moments
12. My oldest girl, who avoids the camera, but is always there to help with her siblings and to play with them. I love watching the girls getting makeup lessons or my boy cuddling her. It is super-special.

Worn out!
It was a mild rainy day today and so we mostly spent it just enjoying each other's company. Little Prince was up to his usual antics, running around, making messes and keeping us on our toes as we try to keep him safe. It was so cute, he wore himself and his sisters out!
First, he wore out his sister out. When Princess Snifflefritz fell asleep, he climbed up beside her with his book and read while he rocked her chair.
Shortly after, he climbed up on the loveseat and fell asleep too.
We did go by and check out the damage from the fire.

Well That Was SCARY!
The kids in town are at it again! They little another fire in a field. It is a big open field across from our place! There were houses really close by. It is used as a shortcut in town and a lot of ducks and deer use it as well.
Prince Charming and I stood by the road by the fire trucks and watched the flames get closer and closer until it was just too scary. We even saw ducks running across the road away from the fire.

That Awesome!
Little Prince is having a good week this week! Firstly, he ate more than just nutella sandwiches. He ate waffles, apples, nuggets, and grapes!!! And every time, it was his own idea! I am so grateful that he seems to be more interested in exploring new foods. I watch him when we are eating, and if he is showing any interest at all, I add a little to his food. I don't take anything away, I just add the new thing and it seems to be helping!!
He is also having a good week verbally! He is learning that using the right words can help him get what he wants I have heard him ask for Toopy and Binoo, Yo Gabba Gabba and Teletubbies (which he ever so cutely calls Telepuppies). He has also asked for cookies and apples! I am thrilled!
He reads books and points to what is in there and says the words he knows!!! I also noticed that his much more involved in a show when he watches it now. When he was watching Toopy and Binoo, he was reacting. He laughed at parts, he reached out and touched their faces. He sang when they did. It is different, like watching television was a participatory sport instead of just a passive one and I am so happy with this development.

Well that was Exciting
We were driving up the road and came across a fire! It turns out there is a school near this spot and high school kids get a kick out of starting fires there. Twice in just this week!!! I think they need a better hobby!
On a sidenote, I actually got a full 7 hours sleep last night! I feel awesome!
