Friday Five

  1. I am feeling excited today. As of today, I have officially lost 40 lbs since July 23. I am over halfway to my goal!
  2. Princess Snifflefritz has started crawling and is even managing a wobbly sit. I am happy that she is finally managing a little progress. Her eating is still off but she is getting better.
  3. Princess Belle is still the best big sister in the world. She helps out with her sisters all the time and never resents the attention that they need.
  4. Princess Magpie is still her sweet, squishy, funny, cuddly, determined, stubborn self. I love her squishy cheeks and her great big hugs.
  5. I am working on getting things ready for our new classroom. I am excited about that too. It is going to be a lot of work to get it ready but it will be wonderful when it is done!

Good Things today

  1. Princess Magpie is dressed in a Christmas Dress watching "Elmo's Christmas Countdown" singing the songs (and most of the vocabulary) word for word. It is just too cute for words.
  2. A strange man stopped me at the grocery store and told me he liked my hair!! That has never happened to me before.
  3. I put on my wedding rings today and they fit!!!
  4. I am back to counting calories again and it feels good to be being healthy again.
  5. Prince Charming has been taking the late shift with Princess Snifflefritz lately. Which means I actually get a full night's sleep for the first time in a full year.
  6. Princess Snifflefritz ate toast yesterday without crying. It is a little thing but it means the world that she is starting to at least attempt solid food without tears.

Over the Gate

I have a gate that keeps Princess Magpie and Princess Snifflefritz out of the kitchen and all the lovely things they could get into out there. I love to take pics of Princess Magpie as she stands at the gate chatting with me. I admit that a lot of times she does so with her last snack on her face as the gate is connected to the dining room, (and the table is often filled with toys the kids are playing with) but she is so darned cute, I just can't resist taking pics dirty face and all. I just love those squishy cheeks!

Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas to all!! It is Christmas Eve, and I have been very busy in Santa's workshop today. This year I discovered something about having three girls, I forget who was supposed to get which present. I stand there with a present in my hand trying to remember which baby girl it was for. I know I have them all mixed up but I figure after Christmas they will all be playing with them all.

Sister Pics

I love how close my girls are. I love how excited they are to be together. I LOVE that when I go into Princess Snifflefritz's room to get her up from her nap, her two year old big sister jumps around excitedly singing her name. I LOVE that in the evenings when I am spending time with Prince Charming all I can hear coming from down the hall is giggling from the room where the two big girls are supposed to be sleeping. It is sweet.

About Princess Snifflefritz's eating issues

Apparently, the pediatrician also talked about the difficulty we have in feeding her. She fights us on eating solid foods it has been a real struggle to get her to eat. He said that it was because she wasn't meeting her milestones. She doesn't really crawl, she doesn't walk, she is mostly sedentary so she doesn't get that hungry. She doesn't eat much, so she doesn't grow a lot and she doesn't move much, so she doesn't eat much. So she is being sent to a specialist for that too.

Now I am worried. (updated)

Prince Charming took Princess Snifflefritz to a Pediatrician out of town today regarding her development and her Strawberry Hemangioma. The Pediatrician gave her an immediate referral to a specialist regarding her Hemangioma to be seen TODAY. I know I have been worried about it. I know it is causing her considerable pain and I know that in the last two days it has starting cracking and bleeding, but I am worried what it means when they are scheduling an appointment in the same day when doing that usually takes months. My poor little baby is so sweet and gentle and happy. I don't want her to be in pain, and I really don't want anything bad to be wrong with her.

Here is a pic of her in February

Look at my baby in the Wordless Wednesday Post. She doesn't deserve to be in pain.

UPDATE:
Well they just got home. Poor little baby had to endure all kinds of bloodwork and testing. They are concerned about her Strawberry Hemangioma and they are sending her to yet another specialist to see about making some decisions about a treatment for it. They are concerned about her development and we are being sent to some other Specialists about that too. They made her Strawberry Hemangioma bleed and it hurt her and now she has been crying since she got home and it is breaking my heart. So no real answers yet. And to make it all worse, today was her birthday

Winter Wishes and Christmas Dreams

I love to take pics that capture the wonder and excitement that the kids have this time of year. As each new thing happens they are in awe as if it was the first time it ever happened.

I have a rule at my house. None of my decorations are expensive, so I refuse to spend Christmas repeatedly telling my kids to leave the decorations alone. If they touch them and I have to put them back, so what? If they break and I clean it up, that's okay. I can replace them for next year. I want Christmas to be as stress-free and fun for them as possible and I don't want to spend making all of us crazy obsessing over the decor. So . . . I relax. What will be will be.
